About Us

ITS The Room is an online fashion and accessories retail store that features high-quality products from Black-owned brands. Founded in 2019 by Tia L. Woods and her daughter Tiana Allman, the store provides a dedicated e-commerce platform to help Black entrepreneurs grow their audience and income without the need to manage a physical storefront.

With the motto "You grow, we grow, we all grow," the business offers a unique and intentional shopping experience, showcasing clothing, beauty products, books, home décor, and more—primarily from small, Black-owned businesses in Connecticut and beyond.

Beyond retail, ITS The Room is built on legacy and community empowerment. The name "ITS" honors Tia’s children and grandchildren, symbolizing a long-term vision of generational wealth and lasting impact within the Black community. Whether you're a vendor, team member, or customer, you're invited to be part of this growing legacy.

  • Can I customize my shop?
    Yes. Each vendor can add their own store banner, logo, and brand description. This helps build trust and recognition among customers.
  • How do I join the marketplace as a vendor?
    Simply click the “Become a Seller” link on our homepage and complete the registration form. Your application will be reviewed, and once approved, you'll receive access to your seller dashboard.
  • When do I get paid?
    Payouts are typically processed monthly, after deducting the subscription fee and platform commission. Detailed payout reports are available in your dashboard.
  • Can customers buy from multiple vendors in one order?
    Yes. Customers can place a single order containing products from multiple sellers. The system will automatically split the order and notify each vendor separately.
  • How do I manage my products and orders?
    Once approved, you will get access to a personalized seller dashboard where you can: Add and edit products Track orders Manage stock View earnings and payout history
  • Do I need to invoice customers?
    No. The marketplace system automatically generates order invoices. You may access your order history and earnings breakdown via your seller dashboard.
  • Can I sell any type of product?
    All products must comply with our marketplace guidelines. Prohibited items include illegal products, hazardous materials, and items that violate intellectual property rights.
  • Who handles shipping and delivery?
    Each vendor is responsible for shipping their own products. You must provide accurate shipping costs, delivery times, and tracking details for each order.
  • How much is the seller's commission?
    Sellers earn 90% of each sale, after the subscription fee for that month has been fulfilled. For example, if your product sells for $100 and your subscription fee is $10, you’ll receive $90 once the subscription is covered.
  • How much does it cost to become a seller?
    There are multiple monthly subscription levels you may choose from based on your business needs. Important: You only start paying your monthly subscription when you make a sale. The fee is deducted from your sales revenue until your subscription cost is covered for that month.

  • How long will it take to receive my order?
    Delivery times vary based on your location and the shipping method selected. Standard shipping typically takes 5-7 business days. Expedited shipping options are also available.
  • Do you offer international shipping?
    Currently, we only ship within the United States. We are working on expanding our shipping options to include international destinations in the near future.
  • What is your return policy?
    We offer a 20-day return policy for items in their original condition with all tags and packing intact. Please visit our return policy page for detailed information on how to process a return.
